Machu Picchu - Peru 2005

Home

A lot of things can be said about Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas. And I'm not going to elaborate on this well-known Wonder of the world site here. Only to show a few photos from this unmissable destination traveling inland Peru. We didn't walk the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu as it was fully booked, but rather took the train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes, and the local bus up the hill to Machu Picchu from there.

It was crowed when the full train off-loaded in Aguas Calientes, but luckily people dispersed in the ruin, and it did not feel too bad in terms of mass tourism.
